Food for Fines is back!
For one week this fall, November 3-11, Neenah and Menasha libraries will
again be offering "Food for Fines," a week-long amnesty to customers
with overdue fines. Throughout the week, the libraries will accept
non-perishable items to pay off overdue fines--$1 worth of
non-perishable food will pay off $2 in fines. Food items apply toward
fines only; not lost or damaged materials. No damaged or expired food
items, please. All donations will be given to the Neenah-Menasha Chapter
of the American Red Cross. The N-M Red Cross has an urgent need for the
following items: tuna or other canned meats, peanut butter and jelly,
canned fruits and vegetables, cereal and oatmeal, dry pastas and
macaroni and cheese, meal helpers, personal care items (toothpaste,
deodorant, shampoo, etc.), powdered milk and spaghetti sauce.

We're streamlining your visit to the library! You can now pick up your
own holds and check out your own items. It's fast and easy!
Try our new touch screen "self check" machines
Check out your own items using our new self check machines. Simply
follow the instructions on the screen. Remember to bring your library
card to use the self check machines, or, if you're like some of our
customers, memorize your card number and PIN (last four numbers of your
phone number). If you're checking out DVDs from the adult department or
the holds shelf, you will need to remove the security tag or the
security case. Ask for instructions at the checkout desk if you need
assistance.
Self Service Holds Pickup
Pick up your own holds from the shelves nearest the checkout desk! For
your privacy, holds are shelved using the last 4 letters of your last
name, the first letter of your first name and the last 3 digits from
your library card number-there will be a label on the spine with this
code. (Note: The computer will block anyone else from checking out your
item.) Items are held for 7 days.
