EARTH DAY EVENTS AT THE LIBRARY-APRIL 21-22!
Saturday, Apr. 21, 11:00-11:45 a.m. for ages 3-5; 1:00-2:00 p.m. for
ages 6-8
"Loving the Earth from the Bottom to the Top" with Stephanie Feuerstein,
Nature's Guide Independent Naturalist Service.
Learn to love the earth and all that it has to offer this Earth Day
weekend! Join us for a fun day of hands-on exploration while we learn
about the onset of spring, the reason why the weather has been so
strange, and how we can learn to respect the earth through understanding
our responsibilities toward it.
A highly sensory based program brings all these concepts down to the
basics for children, but will open the eyes of many adults as well!

Sunday, Apr. 22, 2:00 p.m
Douglas Wood in Concert! "EarthSongs, EarthStories"
Douglas Wood, best known for his children's books Old Turtle and
Grandad's Prayers of the Earth, has been called Minnesota's Renaissance
Man. He has received many awards and honors for his work. As a
musician, Doug writes music featuring vocals, 6 and 12 string guitars,
piano, fiddle, and banjo. His performances are a blend of storytelling
and musicianship, personal warmth and lighthearted humor, and the rare
ability to lift the human spirit. Books and CDs will be available for
purchase.
