FOOD FOR FINES
Saturday, Nov. 4 through Sunday, Nov.12
Food for Fines is back! Bring $1.00 worth of non-perishable food
to pay off
$2.00 in overdue fines.
Food and other non-perishable items will be donated to
Neenah-Menasha Red Cross.
(Fines waiver does not apply to lost, damaged or unreturned
library materials.
No damaged or expired food items will be accepted. Sorry, we
cannot accept items
before Nov. 4. For more information, contact Nancy at 886-6320.)

First Fridays - new this fall at the library!
Join us for a casual afternoon of live music and refreshments on
the First Friday
of each month.

Sunday Afternoon Concert Series - our 7th season of family concerts at
the library!
Sunday, Oct. 22, 2:00 p.m.: Peter Fletcher Classical Guitar
The concert will feature music Peter will perform at his
February 2007
Carnegie Hall debut performance.

BOOK CLUB TO GO!
Attention Book Clubs: Our new collection, "Book Club to Go," features
multiple copies
of books ideal for book club discussions. Titles currently available
include: Dive
>From Clausen's Pier by Ann Packer, Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, Da
Vinci Code by
Dan Brown, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and The Glass Castle by
Jeannette Walls.
We'll be adding to this collection regularly, so watch for new
selections. Books may
also have reading guides available--ask at the Adult Information Desk
for more information.
The "Book Club to Go" books are located on the second floor near the
Adult Information Desk.

Sharon will discuss what's hot and what's not in toy
collecting. Attendees
are welcome to bring in toys for a "mini-appraisal."

Knitting
Julie Jersild Roth, author and illustrator of Knitting Nell,
will visit the library
for a presentation, author lunch and knitting afternoon, where
kids can learn "finger knitting" and adults can knit!
Knitting Nell is a charming new picture book about "a character
as warm and comforting
as a hand-knit sweater, through whom the joys of knitting and
generosity shine."
